I don’t live in Texas. Can you still help me?
Yes. KPN serves clients in all 50 states. Send photos of your documents by Zalo or email; when originals are needed, we arrange free FedEx shipping within the U.S.
How long does it take?
Most consular cases are completed in 2–3 business days once KPN receives all documents. Some take longer; for example, a first-time Vietnamese passport takes 1 month to 1 year, depending on local verification.
My Vietnamese passport expired long ago. Can I still renew it?
Yes. Renewal of an expired passport is $190. Replacing a lost passport is $320.
My U.S. documents don’t show a Vietnamese name. Can I still get a visa exemption?
Yes. You just need to add a document proving Vietnamese origin, such as a birth or marriage certificate.
How long is a visa exemption valid?
Under Decree 82/2015/ND-CP, the passport used must be valid for at least 1 more year. The exemption is valid for up to 5 years and expires at least 6 months before the passport. You can use our date check to see in advance.
My child was born in the U.S. Can they get a Vietnamese passport?
Yes. KPN handles the Vietnamese passport and birth registration package for U.S.-born children for $300.
Do your fees include USCIS filing fees?
No. USCIS fees are paid directly to the government, according to the current schedule at uscis.gov.
How do I pay?

Is the consultation free?
Yes. KPN offers free consultations on Vietnamese law from 9:00 AM to midnight every day, by phone or Zalo. You can also book a 30-minute appointment and we will call you on time.
